Our opinion

This is a high-quality remote, manufactured in Spain and easily upgradable. Its ultra-thin design makes it easy to install on virtually any 22 or 28mm handlebar. The buttons are easily accessible from the handlebar, and the forward/reverse lever has a good feel despite being smaller than the standard version. It's very similar to an analog roadbook reader. It's ideal for use with the Crosscall Core T5 tablet or any other ruggedized Android device.

Firmware update

ARN REMOTE / ARN REMOTE PRO / ARN REMOTE BOX allow firmware updates via OTA.

What does this mean? That you will always be able to have the latest improvements, new modes or functions, as well as the resolution of possible bugs, simply by connecting your ARN REMOTE / ARN REMOTE PRO / ARN REMOTE BOX to the internet.

In this way we ensure that your ARN REMOTE / ARN REMOTE PRO / ARN REMOTE BOX does not become obsolete and allows us to continue expanding and testing different apps to offer the greatest possible compatibility.

PROCESS

• UPDATE MODE SELECTION

  • Remove power to the ARN REMOTE / ARN REMOTE PRO / ARN REMOTE BOX

  • Hold down:

    • [ARN REMOTE] → PUSHBUTTON 1, PUSHBUTTON 2 and PUSHBUTTON 3 ( PUTTON 1 only from v0.1.6 onwards)

    • [ARN REMOTE PRO] → PUSHBUTTON 1

    • [ ARN REMOTE BOX] → PUSHBUTTON 1

  • Power the ARN R EMOTE / ARN REMOTE PRO / ARN REMOTE BOX

  • Wait 3 seconds and release the button(s).

  • Verify that the LED INDICATOR flashes slowly in BLUE

• CONFIGURE WIFI ACCESS POINT ON MOBILE DEVICE

  • On your mobile device, look for the Wi-Fi hotspot option.

  • Change the access point name (SSID) to:

    • [ ARN REMOTE] → ARN_Remote (ARN_R ally as of v0.1.5 )

    • [ ARN REMOTE PRO] → ARN_R ally

    • [ ARN REMOTE BOX] → ARN_R ally

  • Change the access point password (WPA2-Personal) to → ARN123456789

  • Activate the Wi-Fi access point option

• UPDATE​

Once the Wi-Fi access point is active , the ARN REMOTE / ARN REMOTE PRO / ARN REMOTE BOX will begin to update automatically, and we will be able to observe the following LED indicator states , depending on the action it is performing:

• • Fixed TURQUOISE color → UPDATE IN PROGRESS

  • Flashing GREEN → UPDATE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED

  • Flashing YELLOW → THE ARN REMOTE / ARN REMOTE PRO / ARN REMOTE BOX HAS THE LATEST VERSION, NO UPDATE IS NECESSARY

  • Flashing RED color → UPDATE ERROR

 

* The ARN REMOTE / ARN REMOTE PRO / ARN REMOTE BOX will automatically restart once the update process is complete.

* If the internet connection is lost during the update process, or if the update process ends with an error, the ARN REMOTE / ARN REMOTE PRO / ARN REMOTE BOX will reload the latest valid firmware and restart automatically.

FIRST BLUETOOTH PAIRING

ARN R EMOTE PRO features B LE 5.0 technology to communicate with tablets /mobiles using iOS* and Android operating systems.

Follow the steps below to pair your device for the first time:

• Feed ARN REMOTE PRO

• Verify that the LED INDICATOR is flashing white.

• Search for bluetooth devices via mobile/tablet

• Select and pair the “ARN REMOTE PRO” device 

MODE SWITCH – ARN RALLY PRO DIGITAL ROADBOOK GPS REMOTE

ARN R EMOTE PRO has several operating modes designed and optimized to perform specific actions.

Follow the steps below to select the mode that best suits your needs:

• Press PUSHBUTTON 1

• Next, press UP LEVER

• The LED indicator will change color according to the selected mode.

• MODES :

• • ROADBOOK MODE → RED LED INDICATOR

  • NAVIGATION MODE → YELLOW LED INDICATOR

  • MUSIC MODE → GREEN LED INDICATOR

Mode that allows control, and use, of all the functions of the new Drive Mode Dashboard app, DMD2 Beta.

  • Left → PUSHBUTTON 2

Mode specifically designed for apps that allow navigating roadbooks.

It is the mode with the shortest response time , allowing immediate execution of commands related to roadbook navigation.

• ROADBOOK CONTROLS

  • Advance panel → UP LEVER

  • Go back panel → DOWN LEVER

* To invert the LEVER controls, simultaneously press BUTTON 2 + BUTTON 3 and then LEVER DOWN. The LED INDICATOR will blink 3 times confirming the change.

• TRIP CONTROLS

  • Add 10m → PUSHBUTTON 2

  • Subtract 10m → PUSHBUTTON 3

  • Reset → BUTTON 1 > 3 secs

• EXTRA CONTROLS

  • CMD 1 → PUSHBUTTON 1

  • CMD 2 → PUSHBUTTON 1 double press

* ALL ACTIONS WILL BE EXECUTED CONTINUOUSLY IF THE PRESS IS MAINTAINED

Mode intended for map navigation in compatible apps.

Select the control configuration that best suits your needs, following the steps below:

• Press, simultaneously, PUSHBUTTON 2 + PUSHBUTTON 3

• Next, press the DOWN LEVER

• The LED INDICATOR will flash yellow "x" number of times according to the selected setting

* CONTINUE TO PRESS DOWN LEVER , WHILE HOLDING DOWN PUSHBUTTON 2 AND PUSHBUTTON 3, TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THE DIFFERENT SETTINGS

• CONTROLS – CONFIGURATION 1

  • Upload map → LEVER UP

  • Download map → LEVER DOWN

  • Left map → PUSHBUTTON 3

Mode that allows control of compatible music apps.

• CONTROLS

  • Play → BUTTON 1

  • Pause → PUSHBUTTON 1 double press

  • Next song → UP LEVER

  • Previous song → LEVER DOWN

  • Increase volume → BUTTON 2

  • Lower volume → PUSHBUTTON 3

  • Mute → BUTTON 3 double press

EXTRA MODE – ARN RALLY PRO DIGITAL ROADBOOK GPS REMOTE

Mode, selectable when starting the ARN Remote, which makes it possible to dispense with the use of the joystick.

Its function is to allow the RAID/RALLY/EVENT to be completed if the lever breaks due to an impact or fall. In this case, all control of ROADBOOK MODE will be exclusively controlled by the pushbuttons.

• EXTRA MODE SELECTION

  • Remove power from the Remote RNA

  • Press and hold PUSHBUTTON 3

  • Feed the ARN Remote

  • Wait 3 seconds and release BUTTON 3

  • Enable/link the ARN Remote to our mobile/tablet device

  • Verify that the LED INDICATOR emits the color MAGENTA

• ROADBOOK CONTROLS

  • Advance panel → PUSHBUTTON 3

  • Go back panel → PUSHBUTTON 2

• TRIP CONTROLS

  • Add 1m → PUSHBUTTON 1

  • Subtract 1m → PUSHBUTTON 1 double press

The LED INDICATOR allows you to quickly know the status of the ARN Remote.

  • LINKING

    • Rapid flashing WHITE → WAITING FOR BINDING

* The LED indicator will turn off if no pairing occurs within 5 minutes of the remote ARN starting up or after unpairing.

      * THE ARN REMOTE WILL CONTINUE WITH THE BINDING OPTION ENABLED
