Wilbers 640 Honda CRF1000L shock. It is the mid-range shock absorber of the German brand wilbers for the Honda CRF 1000 L. The basic edition of the Wilbers Adjustline mono shock comes with the same technology as the more complex versions. The difference is that here we leave out the compression reservoir and therefore the options to adjust the high and low speed compression. However, this shock does not compromise response behavior or durability. Radial piston, wet running, Teflon-guided self-aligning bushings and other features redefine standard shock quality. As usual, spring preload is continuously adjustable and rebound can be set to a 22-click open bleed system. The shock can be retrofitted with many other Wilbers accessories. The 22 clicks of rebound adjustment and spring preload adjustment will help you find the perfect setting for your shock. At the bottom of the shock, using a 22-step dial, you can adjust the rebound of the shock from the outside thanks to an open bleed system. A pressure relief valve ensures that the shock cannot be hydraulically locked under maximum load. Suspension turbulence due to uncontrolled jerks doesn't stand a chance. Spring compression (preload) can be continuously changed using a wrench tool.

Options

The Wilbers 640 Honda CRF 1000L Shock Absorber offers several customization options:

1. Height. You can choose your shock absorber with standard height, lowered by 30 or 60 mm compared to the original. There is also a version with 25 mm more length.
2. Color. 3 colors to choose from Black line (black and silver), Blueline (blue and silver) or Nightline (completely black).
3. Spring preload system. By nut and key or with knob.

The spring can also be ordered in custom colors upon request at an additional cost.

Our opinion

The Wilbers 640 is the mid-range shock absorber of the German brand. You will definitely notice the difference. Its spring preload and rebound adjustments will allow you to adjust it to your liking. Starting with the spring preload, very important so that you can regulate the sag with your weight. Then, once underway, it won't take much for you to be able to play the 22 steps of hydraulics on the rebound. And if this seems little to you, Wilbers gives you the possibility of keeping the original length or reducing it by 30 or 60 mm so that you can reach the ground better. And if what you want is to gain suspension travel, we also offer you a version with 25mm more travel!!!
