YSS Himalayan Fork Upgrade Kit. This is a complete YSS fork upgrade kit for our Royal Enfield Himalayan, which includes:

•  Harder fork springs.
• Fork valves.
• Adjustable fork caps for.

The fork valve changes the flow of oil in the fork in both directions and the fork spring causes a firmer ride.
The new upper caps for the forks include spring preload adjustment for optimal adjustment. Tightening the adjusting screw increases the pressure and thus the spring preload of the fork. By loosening it, we will get a relief in the spring pressure and, therefore, less compression.
YSS delivers this vehicle specific kit complete with instructions.

Our opinion 

We have found it to be a basic kit to put on any Himalayan who travels loaded either by suitcases or by going as a duo as well as for those of us who practice authentic off roading with it. My opinion is that although for how simple the fork is, the stock bike works quite well, if it is true that it is calibrated to support weights of 75-80kgs. Beyond that, the springs compress and the bike stops working throughout its range of travel. With this kit we will have slightly harder springs that by alternating them with a fork oil according to our needs, we will be able to obtain a very notable performance improvement. By incorporating some valves at the end of the route, we will ensure that the oil finds a brake in its path and in this way its operation will be more progressive and the dreaded “stops” will be avoided. 100% recommendable.
