The Continental TKC80 Twinduro tire is another one of our favorites for mixed 50/50 on/off-road use. Its Achilles' heel is mud, where it doesn't perform as well, but it's a super effective tire on dry tracks and all types of dry or wet asphalt. Its main advantage, besides its versatility, is its long lifespan, which is why we recommend it for long journeys.

Our opinion

If your intention is to take long trips that include off-road travel without many complications, this could be your tire. It is fantastic on both dry and wet roads, not at all noisy, can be placed on tubeless tires and on dry roads it works really well, including rock and wet rock. Your problem comes when you have to do clay terrain or with mud or snow where it collapses a little more. For everything else, it is a great tire with a good compromise between performance – duration – price. All sizes are tubeless except 140780-18.
