We have adapted this Öhlins fork for the Ténéré 700. This RXF 48S model is equipped with the nitrogen-pressurized TTX22 cartridge.

With the equipment of this fork the useful travel is increased and the rigidity is reversed in a greater stability and precision in the front end.

It is ideal to complete with the shock absorber TTX Flow also adapted for this motorcycle model.

It comes equipped with black seatposts and tips for its correct assembly.

For Rally/Enduro race use only

Among the advantages of this design is the improved stability and control of the damping system. Also the ease of use, since all the adjusters, both for compression and rebound as well as for spring preload, are located at the top of each fork leg.
Different springs are available to meet individual requirements, as well as a hydraulic stop inside the cartridge to avoid bottoming out.
The compact design of the NIX cartridge means it will easily fit into the stock upside down forks of most adventure bikes.
They are also easy to install.
Just pop the old fork guts out and install the Öhlins cartridges.
You won't have to worry too much once assembled as the cartridge is designed to withstand heavy use over long periods of time without service.

Our opinion

The Tenere 700 as a whole is a great, very versatile motorcycle both for offroading and for traveling on the road. But due to its tight price, Yamaha technicians have skimped on the quality of some components and specifically the suspension. If you add to this that said suspension comes standard for 75 kg pilots, you will quickly realize that it requires an improvement. Its original springs are not enough to adequately read the terrain in off-road use and it becomes somewhat "bouncy." The spring preload is not of much use either since if you loosen it, it will easily stop and if you tighten it it will bounce more. If you want to give this bike truly off-road use, you need this suspension.
